Høvringen - mountains of Kvam  - mountains of Venabygd - 63 km

Ski tour through the gateway to the magnificent Rondane National Park 800 - 1000 m. above sea level, with a fabulous view of the towering peaks of Rondane, among the highest mountains in Norway at 2000+ meters. You stay 2 - 3 nights at 3 different destinations, who give you the best of the best; you can choose between different alternatives of short or longer day-trips from each destination. Between the destinations there are not always prepared trails, but on the destinations there are hundres of km. with prepared tracks. Some parts of the trail are prepared daily, while others are only prepared after heavy snowfall or heavy winds.

We recommend mountain skies with half-steel edges.The trail goes partly in high mountain areas and proper equipment and clothing is a necessity.

Stages between accommodations:
Høvringen - mountain of Kvam - 30 km - light to partly demanding .
Easy day-trip in high mountain areas, but it might be demanding during bad weather conditions.
Parts of the trail is prepared, except for a short part through the Rondane National Park.
Mountain of Kvam - Mountain of Venabygd - 33 km - partly demanding.
During bad weather conditions this leg will be demanding as most of the trail is in high country areas. The trail is marked but only parts of the trail is prepared.

This trip is for trained skiers with knowledge in handling the changing conditions of the mountains.

Day 1: Direct bus from Oslo Airport Gardemoen, dep. 14:00 hr., to Høvringen. Accommodation 2 nights at Rondane Haukliseter Fjellhotell. Dinner.
Day 2: Day-trip in the area of Høvringen. Acommodation incl. dinner, breakfast and self made lunch pack + refill thermos.
Day 3: Høvringen - Kvamsfjellet - 30 km. Easy day-trip in high mountain terrain. 
Parts of the trail is prepared, except for a short part through the Rondane National Park. Acommodation 2 nights at Rondablikk Høyfjellshotell or Huts.
Dinner, breakfast and self made lunch pack + refill thermos.
Day 4: Day-trip in the mountains of Kvam. Acommodation incl dinner, breakfast and self made lunch pack + refill thermos.
Day 5: Kvamsfjellet - Venabygdsfjellet - 33 km. Parts of the trail passes through high mountain terrain. A slight upward climb the first part from Kvamsfjellet. Only parts of the trail is prepared.
Accommodation 3 nights at Venabu Fjellhotell. Dinner, breakfast and self made lunch pack + refill thermos. 
Day 6 + 7: Ski tour in varied high mountain terrain. Prepared tracks - different alternatives for skiing / possible with guided tours.
Acommodation incl. dinner, breakfast and lunch pack + refill thermos..
Day 8: Departure. Transfer direct bus from Venabu Fjellhotell to Oslo Airport Gardermoen, dep. 09:30 hr., arr. 13:00 hr.

Single supplement:  NOK 1.275,- (approx EUR 160,-).

Venabu Mountain Hotel - Oslo Airport Gardermoen (Direct bus dep. 09:30 hr., arr. 13:00 hr.).

The price includes:
Accomodation: 7 nights in double room (with shower/toilet in the room or shared facilities in the hallway) or cabins.
Board Basis: 7 x 3/4 board (breakfast, dinner, self made lunch-pack & thermos refills at each stop).
Luggage transport: between the hotels / destinations (1 package each person).

Ski equipment: NOT included.
Ski rental: Possible at Høvringen (We recommend skis with half steel-edges).
Ski rental NOK 700,- (approx EUR 81,-) - skis, shoes and ski poles incl. return transport.
